The branding for "Bucket Head" is based on the fun, retro style of the 70s as it was a transformative time for the queer community. This was during the time when the LGBTQ+ community began gaining visibility after the release of the first queer inclusive film, "That Certain Summer." Michael's short film is reflective of this timeframe, which can be seen by the "thrift style" used to portray his characters.
