Copy of Modular Project

For my Typography class, I had to create 6 fonts that represented a descriptive word and its synonym. For my words I chose to do them in themes of expression, music genres, and taste. After my font research, I hand drew each letterform on a fixed grid that prevented me from using curves or organic lines that did not follow an already existing line. Then I uploaded each letterform into Adobe Illustrator, where I turned my letterforms into vector shapes. Lastly, I mounted each word on a 7x7 foam board and arranged them as followed.
